Heh!
I can't believe all the BSG stuff I rambled about. Well, BSG 4.5 was pretty useless. But I've decided that Sam & Kara are together forever.

Why I'm K/S

This is my Big Meta Post on why I love K/S and why I don't love K/L.
The first and probably paramount reason I heart K/S is that I find Michael Trucco very, very hot. Hotter than Jamie Bamber. And Jamie Bamber is very very hot. Because the foundation for most shipping is Hotness, let's be real about that.
I adore Samuel T. Anders. Much, much more than I care about Lee Adama. I do not know for certain if it is a chicken or egg thing. Do I love Sam more because I find Trucco hotter, or do I find Trucco hotter because I love his character more? I don't know the answer, but here are the things I find that I love about Sam:
- He's manly and he swaggers. The scene in Resistance where he walks onto the Pyramid court to play Kara? OMG the swagger killed.me.dead.
- He's strong and brave and can step into new roles easily (such as Pro athlete to Resistance fighter to Pilot. Or Human to Cylon for that matter.)
- He's a natural leader. He was the team captain. When the apocalypse hit, he was the one the survivors turned too. On New Caprica, these qualities showed loud and clear. And again in EOJ/Rapture.
- My gods. Could that man be one iota more loyal and unswerving in his love for Kara? No. My gods. He's the greatest husband in the history of husbands.
So now let's talk about Kara for a little bit:
Kara is an awesome woman. But she's had a terrible past, complete with abusive mom/abandoning dad. And that has led her to |

Today's BSG Wanking

1. Kara is a hybrid? Secret daughter of Daniel?
- This assumes that "slick" is her father, and that he is Daniel. - Slick could also be her father and a Head Person.
- If Daniel is Kara's father, and she is therefore a hybrid, does that mean that Daniel felt Pure, Capital L, Twu Wuv for Socrata Thrace? Really? - And if Kara is a Hybrid what was so hair-on-fire important about retconning Nicky?
2. The Colony?
- Probably the FF's ship. It probably has resurrection equipment on it.
- It would be very cool if it were an actual colony where are people will find a new home.
3. My secret wish is that Kara turns out to be Tigh & Ellen's daughter. Oh, how cool that would be! She'd be perfect as their daughter.
4. Is Sam the Angel that is orchestrating all of this? Sam has done the following:
- Stopped the Cylon attack at the Nebula. - Which started in turn the Cylon civil war. - He supported Kara during the Demetrius arc and by doing so, insured that the alliance happened. - In doing so, he shot Gaeta's Leg off, which was one of the key catalysts for the Mutiny. - He's Bob Dylan. - He got shot in the head, and explained Cylon history to everyone. - Now he has magic brain waves.
5. Is there an association between Sammy's magic brain waves and Kara suddenly having visions? Is Boomer or Tyrol also having visions? |

Working Through it Some More...

Starting From Scratch.
What I am sure of:
1. I'm sure that MT is in Deadlock. (The Eick video + MT's statement that he'd be seen in "some form or another" in "at least the next two episodes.) I also believe that MT filmed for the finale, because he said so on his website. I SAW that. MT also said that he only filmed in the Bald Cap for 12 - 14 days. That too is consistent with something changing at the end of Deadlock. If he's seen again after that, he'll have hair.
We also know that Kara now has the damn bullet for her "necklace of death". :( She'll be moping around with the Piano Player in the very next episode.
There is no more need for his memories, once Ellen comes back.
- This means that Sam could die in Deadlock and reappear in the finale flashback whatchamajiger.
2. RDM has said that Ander's injury is the factor that takes us to the end of the series. He's stressed this several times. He seems to be making it very important. Nothing we've seen yet qualifies. He also says it's implications continue to the end of the series. Michael Angeli said that Sam was the character who would "determine the end of the show."
Getting a Little Fuzzier: 3. In Deadlock we have hints that Saul's eye may be regenerating. Ellen will find this out. This means that Sam could regenerate too, given time. (Plus there is some restorative property to the baseship.)
Ellen could figure out how to hook him up to the baseship to speed his restoral. That could free up the Hybrid to move over to Galactica. This is one possibility. But...
4. In one of the Previews, Ellen is dicussing the possibility of the Cylons moving on by themselves in direct conflict with Sam's wishes. She may be in conflict with him and may not want him back. She may have her own agenda.
5. Kate Vernon says that there are big surprises at the end of every episode. I suspect that a big surprise is coming at the end of Deadlock, I just don't know what.
Other stuff:
It would be sick to make Trucco go through those surgery scenes - minus the miracle. SICK. And I'll be really pissed if RDM let Racetrack live because of Leah's illness, but kills off Sam via Trucco's injury. I'll never forgive him. You can forget about that Caprica DVD purchase, I'll be all about Piracy.
6. Head Six is supposed to come back as an "Angelic Guide" - Baltar doesn't seem to need her any more. We have hints that the FF saw Head People for their "warnings" - Sam said there was a woman only he could see. Could be Head Six (Or Kara!) |
|
So, working through it.

|
1. I will not watch Friday night. In fact, I won't watch again unless Sam is made whole again.
2. Nobody, including RDM has said Sam is dead. He didn't voice the "previously" and there is no "last promo photo" of him.
3. There is no evidence that Sam is in any episode after "Deadlock". Except that CR2 said he survives, and so did Tahmoh once, apparently. I kind of remember that, but have never seen a link. Also, MT himself said he filmed the finale. However, CR2 has been called into question very seriously because of Tory's alleged death. MT himself only said that he would be in "at least" the next two episodes "in one form or another".
4. MT only said he was in the bald cap for "12 or 14 days" - implying that IF he is seen after that, it will not be in the bald cap.
4. There has to be a reason why Kara is flirting with a piano player in STWOM. And I can only assume that at some point they're going to head into K/L land. (pukes) That implies that Sam is not around for her to "take care of".
5. That was a whole lot of K/S shippiness we got handed in No Exit. And RDM has said the relationship is important until the end of the show. And that Sam's injury was important "to the end of the show."However, it might just mean in terms of Kara's feelings, and not anything more.
6. On a less happy note, he also called this a "bittersweet ending" for Anders. (grrrrrrrrr).
7. Head Six has to make a reappearance at some point as an "Angelic Guide".
9. Ander's knew Head Six (Or, was it Head Kara!) OMG What if Kara was his guide? "An invisible woman that only I could see".
10. One of them must have seen Head Six, because somebody modeled the Sixes after her.
11. Someone has to deal with the mystical aspects of all of this.
12. In DL the Cylons are upset, feeling unsafe, and discussing jumping away - something Sam very specifically warned against. Ellen even discusses it, suggesting that she's not down with Sam. I do not believe that Ellen is going to help Sam. But something will stop them from jumping away.
13. There is a suggestion that Saul's eye is regenerating - this suggests Sam could regenerate.
14. The Baseship can also regenerate itself.
13. I know at some point the Hybrid ends up on Galactica.
14. That does leave an opening on the baseship where they might hook up Sam to regenerate.
15. But there also needs to be an explanation for the music, which is connected to Sam. And someone has to point the Fleet to a new home.
16. "The Colony?"
17. There is something orbiting somewhere.
18. If Kara and Sam both end up as Angels, I'm OK with that.
19. Almost none of my friends is as freaked out as I am. They're calmer about it, so I am trying to be too.
****
Conclusions:
Scenario 1: (Worst Case) Sam dies & that clears the way for the BLARGH K/L ship to commense - at the expense of Sam & Dee's lives. That would suck beyond the telling. Kara mourns for awhile. There's a time jump & then the piano player tells her to run to Lee! Until she becomes an angel.
- this is consistent with Kara flirting with the Piano Player, but not consistent with the K/S ship being important to the end of the show, or Sam's injury setting up the ending.
Scenario 2. Somehow the Cylons go from discussing jumping away, to allowing the Hybrid on Galactica. That does leave a glaring hole in their own ship. Ellen may figure out that Sam can regenerate, but he needs to be hooked into the Baseship. So Sam gets plugged into the baseship. Maybe he doesn't allow the jump to happen. Except, Ellen may want to jump. Maybe Ellen turns off Sam's respiratior. Maybe Head Six does it. Head Six needs to make a re-appearance in some shocking way.
Scenario 3. One way or another Sam is not in a bald cap after Deadlock. Either Sam is dead and not seen again, there is a time jump, and he has hair but is still in a coma or tied to the Baseship, or something has happened and he's somewhere else. |

Damn! I love this little sockpuppet journal. (Which I also hate, because IJ sucks.) But it's fun knowing that nobody reads this. I should probably migrate everything over here. Except I'd be too annoyed by the lack of features and the ads.
Anyway, I just re-read my last post. I'm LAUGHING at it.
I just hope Sam survives one way or the other, even if it requires a reset. (Which I think there will be. I definetly think a reset is coming.)
Note to self! Come back tonight and WANK here. :D

Thoughts on Knight Rider - Dull. Boring. Liked seeing Paul Campbell, who is still playing Billy, down to the name! Hahahaha. He is very adorable. But overall, the show is not my cuppa.
I really enjoyed Supernatural last week. And surprisingly so. I'm glad that the CHARACTER of Ruby is still on the show, even though she's now played by a random, inferior actress.
I still have not watched Heroes. I actually forgot to put it on the DVR, and so will have to use I-Tunes to see it. I am planning to do so. Too bad about the ratings. I will post my thoughts on Heroes after I actually watch it.
Looking forward to Survivor and Supernatural tonight, although, I'm annoyed that the second hour of Survivor will interfere with Supernatural. (I have a special DVR which can only record one show at a time... My DVR makes up for that lack of capability, by compensating with the ability to edit commercials out of shows, and burn them to DVD.)
Primeval is still rocking me. I Heart Abby! and Steven! And Nick! And Connor! And Claudia! And Helen!

Shows I'm currently loving:
Primeval!!! (Could be muse material here.)
The Middleman (So adorable. Brain candy. Alas, this is the only season we're going to get of this charming show.)
Show I'm slightly disappointed in, but still watching religiously
Mad Men (They haven't done a good job of setting up the mystery this year. There haven't been any huge shocks.)
Stuff I'm looking forward to for the new season:
Monday - Chuck (loved it last year, and I'm definetly going back for some more. I love cute dorks.)
Heroes - I guess I'll stick with it. My big heretical problem is that I HATE Sylar and am grossed out by the fandom Sylar worshippers.
Tues - Maybe Fringe, but I'm not commiting yet. I don't care for the Science-are-the-bad-guys angle. Oh, right, it's a Fox show. That's all I needed to know about it.
Wed - NADA
Thurs - Supernatural - But again, the Wincest is pretty much driving me away. Ewww. Life on Mars - Very strange and twisted concept.
Fri - Crusoe - I'm sure it's a lost cause. But it reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean and a I love historical dramas. ::Sigh::

Just checking in because I haven't in awhile.
Revelations was fantastic, but it's a little depressing that we are done for the year and have to wait seven or eight months, most likely to get another BSG fix.

Lame-o Leemo. that's all I have to say about Leland.
Lame-o Romo. That's all I have to say about Romo.
Caprica being prego is a shocker. But it would be nice if we had gotten to see her reaction to the news.
Sam not being in the ep sucked.
Laura not being in the ep sucked.
(Baltar's cult not being in the ep rocked!)
And Adama misses Laura - that's sweet.
Other then that, the ep was pure, sometimes cringe worthy filler.

Enjoyed the episode, but am not fond of Natalie dying. Because she rocks. I'm also not fond of Athena shooting her. More meh.
Also, the Gaeta singing, (although AJ rocks those scenes) are totally depressing.
Lee bores me. I've finally come to that conclusion, and I'm finally saying so.
